We're hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor at the Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC.
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, supporting the Housekeeping Manager in delivering consistent cleanliness standards and a guest-ready property.
As a supervisor, you would supervise, train, and coach Room Attendants, helping to ensure they are familiar with procedures, productivity, and quality standards. You'll also support scheduling, shift coverage, and daily operational communications.
You would also be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness alongside the Housekeeping Manager by conducting quality inspections and ensuring any errors are corrected. As such, previous experience in housekeeping is very important, and supervisory or leadership experience would be highly beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and support a team are also important, especially as besides supervising the Room Attendants, you'll also manages room status communication between housekeeping and the front office.
Strong attention to detail is a highly valued skill in this role as the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for managing housekeeping supplies, ensuring the safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with WHMIS requirements, manage lost and found protocols, and oversee all public areas for cleanliness in addition to the detailed room inspections.
There is a physical component to this role that requires you to be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel and reach for extended periods of time. You must also be able to carry up to 30 lbs, including linens, housekeeping supplies, and cleaning equipment, and push and pull housekeeping carts.

This role pays $24 per hour and is a full-time position with 40 hours of work per week, but those hours will be distributed over a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts. You will also need to be willing to work some holidays.

Duties
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations and support the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining cleanliness and service standards across the property.
- Supervise, train, and coach Room Attendants on procedures, productivity, and quality standards.
- Assign daily room boards, monitor progress throughout the shift, and adjust assignments as operational needs change.
- Conduct room inspections and quality checks; identify and address gaps in standards before rooms are released.
- Manage room status communication with Front Desk using the property management system (training provided on Oracle Opera).
- Oversee public area cleanliness including lobbies, corridors, elevators, and back-of-house spaces as assigned.
- Manage housekeeping supplies, linen inventory, and amenity par levels; coordinate ordering with the Housekeeping Manager.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals in compliance with WHMIS requirements.
- Manage lost and found protocols in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Respond to guest requests and service recovery matters related to housekeeping with professionalism and follow-through.
- Support scheduling, shift coverage, and daily operational communications as directed.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment, with supervisory or lead responsibilities preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn property management systems (training provided on Oracle Opera).
- Familiarity with WHMIS and safe chemical handling practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and support a team.
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs including linens, supplies, and cleaning equipment.
