What We Do

In March 2022, the AGJV was awarded a contract from the JGC Fluor BC LNG Joint Venture (JFJV) to perform insulation, painting / coating and fireproofing works as part of the construction of the LNG Canada Development located at Kitimat, British Columbia. The scope of services to be provided under the contract includes work pack preparation, planning, coordination, procurement, supervision and execution of insulation, painting / coating and fireproofing.

GITXAAŁA WEST COAST LAUNCH OFFERS THE NORTH COAST A WIDE RANGE OF PROFESSIONAL MARINE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES.
Who We Are
West Coast Launch Ltd. was established in 1992 providing marine transportation services throughout Northern British Columbia. WCL is a marine transportation company that specializes in marine passenger and light freight transportation and pilot launch services. WCL also provides marine survey vessels, marine escorting, and marine monitoring services. WCL has vessels strategically located throughout Northern BC in both Prince Rupert and Kitimat. WCL has the largest marine passenger vessel fleet capacity in Northern, BC consisting of 8 vessels ranging in size and speed. All WCL vessels are Transport Canada certified and have been approved LNG Canada vessels. Some of WCL’s customers include LNG Canada, Boskalis, Rio Tinto, HATCH, Triton Environmental, Stantec, Pembina, BC Ferries and the Pacific Pilotage Authority.
Early 2022 Gitxaała and West Coast Launch Ltd. formed a joint venture partnership: Gitxaała WCL. This partnership was formed to better service the Prince Rupert, Kitkatla, Kitimat and surrounding area while also providing employment and education opportunities to the community of Gitxaała.

Gitxaała Seaspan
Passionately Delivering the Best Marine Solutions
Who We Are
The partnership between Gitxaała Nation and Seaspan offers modern, high efficiency 65T bollard tugs stationed at Prince Rupert. These tugs will be crewed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and will be available for ship docking and ship escort in the region. This new service in Prince Rupert complements Seaspan’s existing fleet in Vancouver, Roberts Bank and Vancouver Island.
Gitxaała Nation has unlimited knowledge of the rugged west coast having lived, fished and navigated these waters for millennia. For over 130 years, Seaspan has been an integral part of British Columbia’s waterways by providing ship assist and escort service between Alaska and Mexico. Both partners offer vast experience and knowledge as mariners navigating these waters, making Seaspan a more dependable option for marine services in the coastal British Columbia.

Who We Are
Gitxaała CityWest Communications is a partnership between CityWest and the Gitxaała Nation. This new company will operate a new state-of-the-art fibre-optic network in Lach Klan (Kitkatla) to deliver services to residents and businesses. A portion of the profits from services will go back into the community, providing a direct financial benefit to the Gitxaała Nation.
