We are looking for a Security Guard at Chances Prince Rupert Casino in Prince Rupert, BC.
The Security Guard oversees casino operations to help ensure the safety and security of our premises, employees, and patrons. This role requires the ability to respond to incidents promptly, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities include protecting the casino, its assets, employees, and patrons while maintaining a safe and secure environment. This includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures to enhance safety measures. It also involves responding promptly to incidents, emergencies, or alarms as well as coordinating with law enforcement when necessary. Safety is important, and we're looking for someone who already has one year of experience in a security role, ideally. We would also like all candidates to have at least a familiarity with the laws and regulations relating to security operations.
The Security Guard operates as part of a team and works closely with other departments to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position. You would also be expected to prepare detailed reports on incidents, investigations, and security activities for management review.
The position of Security Guard requires a high level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information. It also requires an ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions during emergencies.
This is a part-time position with 20 to 30 hours of work available per week at a rate of $19.60 per hour. Because this position is in a casino, the successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required. They must also be 19 years or older.
