We are looking for a Security Guard at Chances Prince Rupert Casino in Prince Rupert, BC.
Our security guards oversee our security operations and ensure the safety of our premises, staff, and patrons. This role requires the ability to respond to incidents promptly, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities for this role revolve around the security of the casino and its assets as well as the safety of the Chances Prince Rupert Casino's patrons and staff. This includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures to enhance safety measures. It also involves responding promptly to incidents, emergencies, or alarms as well as coordinating with law enforcement when necessary. Safety is important, and we're looking for someone who already has one year of experience in a security role, ideally. We would also like all candidates to have at least a familiarity with the laws and regulations relating to security operations.
Security guards operate as part of a team, and we consider excellent communications and interpersonal skills a necessity for success in this position. Especially, as our security guards frequently collaborate with other departments in order to promote a culture of safety within our organization. You would also be expected to prepare detailed reports on incidents, investigations, and security activities for management review.
The position of security guard requires a high level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information. It also requires an ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions during emergencies.
This is a part-time positions with 20 to 30 hours of work available per week at a $19.60 hourly wage. Because this positions is in a casino, the successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required. They must also be 19 years or older.
