Description
We're looking for 1 Part-Time and 2 Full-Time Servers to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC at the Chances Grill PR, who are positive, trustworthy team players.
The Chances Grill PR is in the Chances Prince Rupert Casino, so our servers need to be able to work in loud, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidates will not only be able to work in the midst of loud noise, dim lighting, and flashing lights, but will thrive in the centre of the crowd, ensuring all guests have a fun, memorable experience that keeps them coming back for more. As such, we're looking for people who already have 6 months - 1 year of experience in the Food Services or Hospitality industry.
The ability to multi-task is important, and so is having excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to perform well under pressure. As servers, the successful candidates will need to be available to work on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays and be able to lift and carry trays filled with food and dishes as well as stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
Our part-time server position has 20 - 30 hours of work per week available, perfect for people who need flexibility in their schedule, like students. Or full-time server positions are have 40 hours of work per week available for anyone looking for more hours. As these are serving positions, you will need to be available to work some days and evenings as well as weekends and holidays for either. The wage for these roles is $17.85 per hour plus tips.
The Chances Grill PR is in the Chances Prince Rupert Casino, so all candidates must be 19 years or older and have a Serving it Right certificate as well as the ability to successfully complete a criminal record and credit check through the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO).

Qualifications
- Must be 19 years or older
- Serving it Right certification
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal record and credit check through the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO).
- 6 months - 1 year experience in the Food Services or Hospitality industry
- Excellent, team player attitude
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Ability to carry and lift trays and plates filled with food and dishes on a consistent basis
- Ability to stand and walk for all periods of time on a consistent basis
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items on a consistent basis
- Ability to work in loud noise, including but not limited to music, sports broadcasts, announcements, and slot game play
- Ability to work in dim lighting with bright flashing lights
- Ability to work in crowed areas
Education
We would like a Serving It Right certification, but there are no formal educational requirements for this role, including bachelors degrees, diplomas, professional certifications or other forms of higher education. We value experience and a willingness to learn more.
