Slot Attendant / Cashier
Chances Casino in Prince Rupert
240 West 1st Avenue Prince Rupert BCDescription
We’re hiring a Slot Attendant/Cashier to work with us at the Chances Prince Rupert casino.
Reporting to the Gaming Manager, the Slot Attendant/Cashier is the first point of contact position in providing attentive, prompt, and courteous responses to customer inquiries and requests for assistance or information, handling problems and complaints efficiently, and making referrals to supervisory staff for resolution as required.
You will create memorable experiences for our guests through a friendly and exciting environment. Master your customer service skills and have fun on the job by explaining games, celebrating winnings, and paying out jackpots. This role is an entry level position with opportunity to grow within our organization.
This position is primarily responsible for the overall level of service in an assigned area and on the gaming floor in general, but you will also be responsible for some machine management and money handling as well as some minimal cleaning.
Because Chances Prince Rupert is a casino, all employees must be 19 years of age or older and able to complete a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) as well as available to work 40 hours a week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
There are some physical aspects to the job, including lifting boxes and pushing and pulling carts as well as long periods of standing and walking. The casino environment is also loud with dim lighting as well as bright, flashing lights.
We would love to see applicants with Appropriate Response Training Level 1 and Anti-Money Laundering, and we need people with strong communication skills, who work well in fast-paced environments, under pressure, and independently with good judgement.
