Description

We are looking for 1 Part-Time Bartender and 1 Full-Time Bartender to join our team at the Chances Grill PR in Prince Rupert, BC.

The Chances Grill PR is in the Chances Casino, so our bartenders must be capable of working in dim lighting conditions surrounded by bright, flashing lights, crowded areas, and around loud noises, including music, slot machines, sports broadcasts, and announcements.

The part-time position allows for 20-30 hours of work per week while the full-time position would be a full, 40-hour work week, both positions would involve work during days, nights, and on weekends and holidays.

We would prefer candidates with at least 1 year of experience in a food service position, but we are also able to provide training and development opportunities to candidates with positive attitudes, and great teamwork skills.

The Chances Grill PR is a fast-paced environment, and excellent time management skills are as critical as your customers service skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions. Basic math skills and the ability to use POS systems are also important. It is also critical that you learn and follow all food safety and responsible alcohol serving practices.

There are some physical elements to this job, so all candidates must be able to use physical exertion to carry and lift trays and plates filled with food and dishes; stand and walk for all periods of time; and bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items on a consistent basis.

The Chances Grill PR is in the Chances Casino, so all candidates must be 19 years or older and have a Serving it Right certificate as well as the ability to successfully complete a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB).
